Yatra : A perfect tribute to a true leader- YSR

Yatra, the biopic of Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy is a political drama released on 8th February 2019. Yatra is a multi lingual movie, releases in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil. It is a perfect tribute to one of the mot perfect political leader

Yatra focuses on certain events leading up to Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy’s (YSR) padayatra across Andhra Pradesh in 2003.

During the course of the journey YSR learns about the things that concern people. And that learning gives realization to them to realize the kind of person he is. The movie displays us how a once diplomatic normal politician turns into a man of wisdom.

It is well explained in the movie that how the 1500 kilometres journey shapes the two time Chief Minister and his short lived career.

Mammutty, the Megastar of Malayalam film industry, proves that he is nothing less in Telugu as well. He transforms himself as the great politician. As YSR read the pulse of his people, the actor is also reading the pulse of his viewers. His performance as YSR says it all.

The star cast includes many big names of Indian Cinema; Suhasini Maniratnam, Rao Ramesh, Sachin Khedekar.All of them displays their natural acting skills and keeps the viewers expectations intact.

Yatra is Mahi V Raghav’s second directorial venture after Anando Brahma, a comedy horror flick. His transition from a comic film to a political biopic is fantastic. As the first one was a fantasy film of fun and now a very realistic movie.

Towards the end the movie maintains the political mood. It takes us to the period set in this movie. It drags us as the followers of YSR and team up with him.
