In the US airshow, 6 feared dead as 2 World War Two-era planes collide mid-air in Dallas. A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra fighter collided and crashed at the Wings Over Dallas Airshow at Dallas Executive Airport at 1:20 p.m. CST (1820 GMT), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement.
Hank Coates, president of the Commemorative Air Force, said the families of crew members involved in the disaster and witnesses would be offered support, including emotional counselling. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) were launching investigations. Preliminary reports may come out in the coming several days, but final findings may not be issued for more than a year.
