Veteran Actress KPAC Lalitha is no more
Veteran Actress Maheshwari Amma, better known by her stage name K.P.A.C. Lalitha, (74) is no more. Legend actress, who was battling ill-health died at a private hospital in Kochi on Tuesday. Lalitha had entered movies from drama and became a household name in South Indian cinema, most popularly in Malayalam.
She acted in over 550 films and won the national award for best-supporting actor twice besides securing four state awards. She started her acting career at K.P.A.C. (Kerala People’s Art Club). The theatre collective in Kayamkulam, Kerala. She is the current chairman of the Sangeetha Nataka Akademi of Kerala. She is married to the late Malayalam filmmaker Bharatan.
