Women tortured; Allegedly Gang- Raped In Benguluru

Six persons, including two women, were arrested in Tirunelveli in connection with the torture and harassment of a young woman. Video of the harassment was circulating on social media. The 22-year-old was filmed on video until the bottle was loaded into her private parts. The young woman was later gang-raped.

The incident took place six days ago. The case was registered based on information from the video clip and the interrogation of the accused, Bangalore Police said in a press release. The victim and the accused were from Bangladesh. It is clear that the woman was brought to India through human trafficking, police said.

Meanwhile, the victim is now in another state. A team has been sent to find them. After that, their statement will be taken before the magistrate, police said.

In northeast India, the incident and the video were heavily criticized. The propaganda was that the young woman was from the region. Following this, Assam police were also involved in the matter.

Two of the six suspects, who were rushed to the spot in the early hours of Friday morning to re-enact the crime, were shot in the leg by the police after they tried to escape. Six suspects, including two women, were rushed to the spot at 5 am. Two suspects who were shot were taken to the hospital.
