Dubai Catholic church to reopen on February 1

Dubai Catholic church is set to reopen from Monday, February 1 after being closed for nearly 11 months to stop  community from coronavirus.

According to an announcement on St Mary’s Catholic Church’s official website, the church, located on Oud Metha Road, is all set to welcome the worshippers for daily mass.

The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai has granted the permission to serve two daily services as per the conditions and guidelines set by the authorities. Daily masses will be held at 6:30 am and 7:00 pm and the church premises will be closed during  other times. Both masses will be streamed live online.

Only 30 per cent of the church’s capacity will be allowed to attend the service at a time. Attendance for masses will be regulated and pre-registration on the church’s website is mandatory  for attending the services. Senior citizens above 60 years and children below 12 years are not allowed attend the services. Attendees are not allowed to interact with members of the clergy or church staff.
