Merritt Wever (Unbelievable) is Ruby, a married woman who drops everything on receiving a single text message “RUN”. This dark comedy-thriller about texting your ex from writer Vicky Jones, backed by her best friend, Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, as exec producer, follows the adventures and fallout when Ruby’s old flame Billy (Domhnall Gleeson) invites her to leave her humdrum life and travel across the US together, revisiting their past. Mrs America

In this smart tale of an anti-feminist icon, Cate Blanchett leads an all-star cast as notorious conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly, a well-to-do wife in middle America who fronted the backlash against the movement to add the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to the US Constitution in the 1970s. Alongside Blanchett, the stellar cast includes Rose Byrne, Margo Martindale, Uzo Aduba, Elizabeth Banks, Tracey Ullman, portraying some of the leading political women of the era, from activist Gloria Steinem to congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, in a series which explores how this culture war battle over women’s rights helped shift the political landscape forever. Save Me Too

In this sequel to bleak 2018 drama Save Me, writer and star Lennie James returns to star alongside Suranne Jones (Gentleman Jack) as Nelly Rowe, a ladies’ man and boozer whose life was turned upside down after being accused of the abduction of his estranged daughter Jody. It’s seventeen months since Nelly rescued vulnerable young woman Grace while out searching for Jody. Could Grace provide clues to Jody’s fate, or will she derail Nelly’s desperate quest for the truth – with potentially terrible consequences for him and those around him? Normal People

In this dramatization of Sally Rooney’s 2018 novel and international literary phenomenon, we meet Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Connell (newcomer Paul Mescal), both from a small Irish town, but from very different backgrounds. As they embark on an on-off romance that starts at school and continues through college, they test their relationship, experiment with other partners and explore different versions of themselves. This modern love story follows the pair as they weave in and out of each other’s lives and explores just how complicated intimacy can be. Watch the trailer here. Bosch

When domestic terrorists threaten the fate of Los Angeles, homicide cop Harry Bosch must step up to save the city he’s pledged to serve and protect, in the sixth and penultimate series of this drama based on the detective novels by Michael Connelly. After a medical physicist is executed and the radioactive material he had with him goes walkabout, Bosch (Titus Welliver) finds himself at the centre of a complex murder case, messy federal investigation, and major threat to the City of Angels. Alongside Lost’s Welliver as the titular ruthless anti-hero, The Wire’s Jamie Hector, Being Human’s Amy Aquino and The Walking Dead’s Madison Lintz all appear. Watch the trailer here. Gangs of London

The Raid director Gareth Evans brings his unique brand of stylised cinematic action to the small screen with a story of a fictional London torn apart by the turbulent power struggles of international gangs. When the city’s most powerful criminal Finn Wallace is assassinated, no-one knows who is responsible – but with rival gangs all vying for position to fill the void, it’s up to Finn’s son Sean to take back the family’s control of the city. After Life

Ricky Gervais is back for a second outing of this Netflix sitcom as nice guy Tony, a small-town journalist who had the perfect life until his wife died from cancer. Depressed and angry, Tony contemplated committing suicide, but instead decided to punish the world by not caring about himself or anyone else – a choice which he thinks of like a personal “super power”. In the second series, still grieving, we see Tony try to become a better friend to those around him, who are grappling with their own problems – which are only intensified by the looming threat of the local newspaper being shut down. Beastie Boys Story

Over 25 years after directing the unforgettable music video for Beastie Boys hit Sabotage, legendary filmmaker Spike Jonze reunites with the band’s surviving members Mike Diamond (aka Mike D) and Adam Horovitz (aka Ad-Rock) to tell their personal origin story, as self-described “mediocre rappers” from New York, who went from being famous in a 14-block radius to going on tour with Madonna and Rick Rubin. The duo look back on their career and spill the beans on 40 years of friendship in a documentary, filmed live in front of a theatre audience. Watch the trailer here. What We Do in the Shadows

Inspired by the 2014 horror-comedy film by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, this vampire mockumentary documenting the nightly exploits of blood-sucking roommates Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (Matt Berry) and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch), as they navigate modern life on Staten Island, returns for a second series. With the help of their human familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) the group contend with parties and internet trolls – but is Guillermo destined to be one of the undead, or a vampire hunter? Meanwhile energy vampire Colin gets a promotion in the office and no longer needs to talk someone’s ear off to drain them of life: “TGIF!”, “Working hard or hardly working?”, and “It’s five o’clock somewhere!” he says simply, as colleagues collapse around him.
