Kerala Cabinet Reshuffle: KB Ganesh Kumar and Kadannappalli Ramachandran Sworn In as Ministers

In a recent cabinet reshuffle in Kerala, K B Ganesh Kumar from Kerala Congress (B) and Kadannappalli Ramachandran from Congress (S) were sworn in as ministers. The swearing-in ceremony, held at Raj Bhavan and administered by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, took place in the presence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, other Cabinet ministers, and ruling party leaders. However, the Opposition United Democratic Front boycotted the event in protest against the Pinarayi regime.

The cabinet reshuffle was announced by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) on Sunday, indicating the induction of two new ministers on December 29. As part of the reshuffle, Antony Raju of the Democratic Kerala Congress and Ahammad Devarkovil of the Indian National League resigned from their positions as Transport Minister and Ports Minister, respectively. The decision to share cabinet berths among four single MLA parties was made when the second LDF government assumed power in May 2021, adhering to constitutional clauses limiting the cabinet to 21 members.
