Some women, for various reasons like education career etc choose to get married and get pregnant later in life. As a consequence, by the time they decide to conceive or have children, it’s at an age when their fertility is likely to have declined.

Egg freezing, also known as mature oocyte cryopreservation, is a method used to save women’s ability to get pregnant in the future. Eggs collected  from ovaries are frozen unfertilized and stored for later use. A frozen egg can be thawed, combined with sperm in a lab and implanted in your uterus.
