Tovino Thomas Takes Legal Action Against Defamatory Statements on Social Media

The Ernakulam Panangad police acted upon a defamation case filed by actor Tovino Thomas, who alleged that he was targeted with malicious statements on social media.

Reportedly, Tovino submitted his complaint to the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) and also shared an Instagram link related to the issue. The DCP then referred the complaint to the Panangad police.

Consequently, the police formally registered a First Information Report (FIR) in response to the complaint. According to Tovino’s statement, he experienced verbal abuse and character defamation on various social media platforms.
