Aditi Balan, the actress from the Malayalam film Cold Case, discusses her fear of the supernatural and remembers a childhood incident!

Thiruvananthapuram: Cold Case, Amazon Prime Video’s forthcoming Malayalam investigative-crime-thriller, is directed by Tanu Balak and stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Aditi Balan. This new thriller-horror film promises to take the spectator on a fascinating journey.

Cold Case will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on June 30, 2021.

Aditi Balan stated of this hybrid genre, which combines aspects of crime, horror, and the fear of the supernatural, “I was asked while shooting if I had ever been afraid of something.” I am not – maybe darkness, but I haven’t had any extraordinary experiences. My closest experience was when I was in eighth grade. We’d gone on a trip out of town and were sleeping in a hotel when eight of us – kids – started playing in the middle of the night. We were horrified to see a creepy-looking blue-haired figure peeking from the other side of the door when we heard a noise and moved towards it. It’s not supernatural, yet I flipped, freaked out, and ran back into the room at that time. That’s the only time I’ve ever been terrified. In addition, I am not a believer in the supernatural. So, during filming situations in which I had to appear terrified, I would continually question the crew if I appeared terrified enough for real.”

Fans of Prithviraj are eagerly awaiting the superstar’s digital debut.

Cold Case also stars Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, Suchitra Pillai, Athmeeya Rajan, and Anil Nedumangad in key parts and promises to be a well-cooked crime thriller – a fascinating storey of a difficult murder case that transforms into a horrible revelation of otherworldly forces rising in the inquiry.
