Kaappaan movie review : Suriya and Mohanlal delivers a clinical political thriller

Kaappaan has created quite a buzz in the South Indian film industry right from the moment it announced. The film has a stellar star cast. Kaappaan is Directed by KV Anand and produced by Lyca Productions.  Anyways Kaappaan has kept the expectation of fans.

Plot

Kaappaan revolves around a very dynamic society. It showcases the challenges of a sincere prime minister surrounded by a lot of corrupts. The biggest challenge is as always the concern over security. It includes events like terrorism and insurgency.

That security concern lets our hero to enter the scene. He is as always intelligent, in fact the smartest guy. Thus our prime minister gets easily impressed by him and appoints him in his team.

Then again there is another set of twists. That paves way to the next significant character.

Performance

As it was already revealed that Mohanlal portrays the role of the prime minister, he was really superb. No one at this point is good enough to comment on his performance, he was flawless.

Suriya was also superb. He looked absolutely handsome in his new get up. Real life husband and wife Aarya and Sayyesha has also given life to their characters.

The performances of side cast including Samuthirakani, Shamna Kasim, Boman Irani has made the film a complete entertainer.

Verdict

Kaappaan is a clinical political thriller. The film is technically fantastic. When KV Anand joined hands with Abinandhan Ramanujam and this stellar star cast there is no wonder when the audience get an epic film like Kaappaan.

But if your expectation was way too high than an entertaining commercial flick. If in between the mollwood Lalettan fans gets disappointed, it is natural. But the film is too good. Especially for Suriya fans, its sort of a relief after his previous, should have been avoided NGK.
