COVID-19: 13 new cases are reported in Kerala, says Chief Minister; Watch Live

COVID-19 confirmed to 13 people in the state today. Kottayam – 6, Idukki – 4, Palakkad, Malappuram and Kannur – one each. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan made the announcement at a press conference after the Corona review meeting.

Today the results of 13 people have been negative. Six in Kannur, four in Kozhikode and one each in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Malappuram were negative. So far, 481 people have been confirmed as COVID-19 in the state. Of these, 123 are under treatment.

A total of 20,301 people are under observation. Of these, 19,812 live in homes. 489 people are under observation in hospital. Only 104 people were hospitalized today. 23,271 samples were sent for inspection. Of these, 22,537 were diagnosed as negative.

A total of 875 samples were sent from the priority group for testing, including health workers, guest workers, and social contacts. Of these, 611 samples were negative.

The Prime Minister and the Home Minister were briefed yesterday on what Kerala is going to do. The concessions were determined according to the guidelines of the Central government. Withdrawal of lockdown requires caution. Partial lockdown suggested continuing until May 15. The district also ordered the withdrawal of the lockdown with restrictions on newly unreported districts. Inter-district interstate public transport was ordered to remain closed until May 15.
