New Stops Granted for 15 Kerala Trains Ahead of Onam Celebration

Kannur: In preparation for the upcoming Onam, the Southern Railway has introduced additional stops for 15 trains in Kerala, including nine stations within the Malabar region. These temporary stops will be implemented as an experiment starting from August 15.

Under this decision, the Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru Maveli Express (16604) will now have a scheduled stop at Tirur station at 2:43 am, effective from August 18. The Malabar Express (16629 / 16630) will include halts at Chalakudy and Kuttippuram stations starting from August 16.

Furthermore, two long-distance trains, the Dadar – Tirunelveli – Dadar – Humsafar Express (22629 / 22630) and Tirunelveli – Gandhidham Humsafar (20923 / 20924), will be allowed to stop at Kasaragod station.

Simultaneously, the Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru – Thiruvananthapuram Express (16347 / 16348) and Ernad Express (16605 / 16606) will now have scheduled halts at Ezhimala and Pazhayangadi stations, respectively, commencing from August 15.
