First flight in Kannur with expatriates: 180 passengers onboard

 

Kannur: The first flight to Kannur with expatriates arrived from Dubai. Air India Express Boeing 737 aircraft reached Kannur. The passengers included 20 pregnant women, 5 children and 43 people who needed emergency care. Of the 180 passengers on board, 109 were from Kannur and 47 from Kasargod. Passengers will be carried out in groups of up to 20 people, by maintaining social distance. Rapid tests will then be conducted. There are five medical desks at the airport.

Passengers with symptoms will be shifted to hospitals in an ambulance. Other travellers must go to the special seats assigned to each district. There will be KSRTC buses available for those travelling to each district. There is also a paid taxi service for pregnant, elderly and children who need to stay home. More than 60,000 expatriates are waiting to come to Kannur.
