India has a slightly higher daily count of COVID-19 infections, with 26,727 new infections

According to the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 26,727 new COVID-19 cases and 277 fatalities in the last 24 hours (October 1).

While the number of coronavirus cases has risen to 3,37,66,707, the death toll in the country has risen to 4,48,339. According to the Health Ministry, the total number of recoveries is 3,30,43,144.

Kerala reported 15,914 new cases and 122 deaths in the last 24 hours out of the total daily cases. Meanwhile, the number of active cases has dropped to 2,75,224, the lowest in 196 days.

“The active cases account for 0.82 percent of total infections, the lowest since March 2020,” the ministry said, adding that the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 97.86 percent, the highest since March 2020.

 

According to data released on Thursday, India reported 23,529 new COVID-19 cases and 311 deaths.

On May 4, India’s COVID-19 tally surpassed two crores, and on June 23, it surpassed three crores.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 57,04,77,338 samples were tested for COVID-19 between September 30th, 2021, and September 30th, 2022. On Thursday, 15,20,899 of these samples were tested.

The total number of vaccinations reached 89,02,08,007, with 64,40,451 doses administered in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry on Friday.
