Government protection for children who lost their parents in COVID

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said a special package would be implemented for the protection of children who lost their parents due to covid. Children will be given a lump sum of Rs 3 lakh. 2000/- per month till the age of 18 years. The government will take over the cost of education up to the graduate level.

New concessions were also announced in various sectors.

  • Crushers can be opened according to Kovid standards in case metal is not available for construction.

 

  • Eyecare hospitals, spectacle shops,  hearing aids, and Institutions that sell and repair artificial limbs. Gas stoves, mobile phones, and computer repair shops can be open for 2 days.

 

  • Permission to deliver women’s hygiene products from manufacturing facilities to pharmacies

Death crossed 8000

Thiruvananthapuram: 181 more deaths confirmed yesterday, the death toll from covid in the state so far has reached 8063. Death crossed 7,000 on the 22nd of this month.

Yesterday, 1,35,232 samples were checked and 24,166 confirmed by Covid. 30,539 were cleared of covid. The test positivity rate fell again to 17.87%. There are 2,41,966 people being treated.
