Covid 19: Mumbai sees dip in new cases

Mumbai reported only 824 new cases on Tuesday, which is lowest in 40. The worst-hit city, is showing signs of improvement. The city’s doubling rate now stands at 37 days as compared to 13 days in May. This is the lowest single day count since past 41 days.

The average growth for new covid 19 cases every day has come down to 1.88 per cent compared to 5 per cent in May. Both the doubling rate and rate of new cases are decreasing consistently. Mumbai’s recovery rate is at 50 per cent.

Asia’s largest slum, Dharavi reported five Covid-19 positive cases – the lowest since April 10.

Till Tuesday, the city has recorded 67,635 Coronavirus cases.
