Abduction of Six-Year-Old Abigail Sparks Intense Police Search in Kerala

The state of Kerala is in shock and distress after the abduction of six-year-old Abigail Sara Reji by a four-member gang in Oyoor, Kollam. The incident occurred around 4.30 pm as Abigail, along with her brother Jonathan, was on her way to tuition class. The gang attempted to kidnap Jonathan as well, but he managed to escape. Later that evening, Abigail’s mother received a ransom call demanding Rs 5 lakhs, and another call followed, increasing the ransom to Rs 10 lakhs. The kidnappers threatened not to involve the police and claimed the child would be released at 10 am the next day.

Abigail’s parents, Reji and Siji, are healthcare professionals, and the police have intensified their search, focusing on surveillance footage and conducting vehicle inspections. The family learned about the incident when Jonathan reached home, prompting locals to inform the police. The entire state is anxiously awaiting Abigail’s safe return, and the investigation is under the supervision of ADGP Ajith Kumar, who is coordinating efforts to locate the culprits responsible for this distressing crime.
