Indian 10m Air Rifle Team Secures Gold with World Record Performance

At the Asian Games, the Indian men’s 10m air rifle team achieved a historic victory by securing the gold medal with a world record-breaking performance on the competition’s second day.

Comprising world champion Rudrankksh Patil, Olympian Divyansh Panwar, and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, the Indian team amassed a remarkable total score of 1893.7 during the qualification round. This score surpassed the previous world record of 1893.3, which had been set by the Chinese team less than a month earlier at the World Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The team’s individual scores were equally impressive, with Rudrankksh Patil achieving 632.5 points, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar scoring 631.6 points, and Divyansh Panwar contributing 629.6 points to create the world record-breaking aggregate.

In the final standings, South Korea secured the silver medal with an aggregate score of 1890.1, while China claimed the bronze medal with a score of 1888.2, highlighting the intense competition and outstanding performances at the event.
