Nava Kerala Sadas Interrupted as Kerala Mourns CPI Leader Kanam Rajendran’s Demise

The Nava Kerala Sadas, a public outreach program of the Kerala government, has been canceled for a day on December 9 in light of the demise of CPI State Secretary Kanam Rajendran. The public interaction program will resume on Sunday afternoon, starting from Perumbavoor at 2 pm. The decision to cancel the program for a day came as a mark of respect following the passing of Kanam Rajendran, a senior leader of the Communist Party of India and a prominent figure in Kerala politics. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his cabinet colleagues paid their respects to the departed leader, emphasizing the significance of the event in the context of the ruling Left front.

Kanam Rajendran’s funeral is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, and the cancellation of the Nava Kerala Sadas on December 9 reflects the acknowledgment of the importance of paying tribute to the veteran political leader. The program is expected to resume after the period of mourning, maintaining the state government’s commitment to public engagement and outreach.
