Easy Lassi Recipe
Yogurt-based drink actually originates from punjab.It is usually served after heavy meal or perhaps during hot summer to lower the body heat. Yogurt helps to improve digestion after heavy meal. It is usually topped with dry fruits like badam and pista which is obviously good for health.
Ingredients
- 2 cups thick yogurt / curd, fresh
- 3 tbsp sugar, powdered
- ¼ cup ice cold water
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp fresh cream / malai
- few dry fruits, almonds, cashews, pistachios, chopped
Preparation
Take 2 cups of curd in a large jug.
whisk untill the curd turns smooth. you can also blend using the hand blender / mixi.
Add ice cold water to adjust the consistency.
add 3-4 tbsp of powdered sugar.
add cardamom powder.
whisk again till a frothy layer is formed. you can also blend using the hand blender / mixi.
Add cream for more rich taste and stir
Transfer the lassi to a serving jar.
Garnish with few chopped nuts.
Serve chilled along with few ice cubes.
