How to choose right sunscreen?

Everyone should use sunscreen every day of the year, it’s even more important during summertime when the days are longer, the sun is stronger, and it’s easier to spend more time outdoors. When choosing sunscreen, be sure to read the label before you buy.

One that’s labeled “broad-spectrum,” because it means it protects against both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays are the ones that prematurely age your skin, causing wrinkles and age spots, while UVB rays cause sunburn. Overexposure to both can lead to skin cancer.

SPF is a measure of how much UVB light a sunscreen can filter out. Must use an SPF of at least 30. If you have acne prone skin, make sure that your sunscreen is labeled as ‘non-comedogenic,’ which means that it has been shown not to block pores.
