GCC Nations Poised to Introduce Unified Visa System for Tourists

A Schengen-style unified visa system is expected to enable tourists to visit six Gulf nations without the need for multiple transit visas. The participating countries in this unified visa system are the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

This decision was reached during the Future Hospitality Summit 2023 held in Abu Dhabi and is anticipated to be put into practice in the near future. Once implemented, both citizens of Gulf nations and foreigners will be able to travel to these six countries using a single visa. This development is particularly beneficial for Malayalis and other travelers who wish to explore multiple Gulf nations.

One of the primary advantages of this unified visa system is that it will facilitate visits to relatives and friends across various Gulf countries, simplifying the travel process and reducing expenses for tourists.
