Forest Department Keeps Close Watch as Arikomban Remains Within Inhabited Area

Arikomban continues to stay within his estate in Manchola, Tamil Nadu, under the vigilant observation of more than 80 forest department officials. A team comprising veterinary doctors and forest department personnel is actively monitoring Arikomban’s activities.

The Tamil Nadu Forest Department has reported that upon entering the Upper Kothayar region, Arikomban has shifted his diet to common wildebeest, with no indications of him being ensnared in drug traps. Furthermore, the department has clarified that there is no substantiated claim regarding the elephant’s proximity to the Kerala border.
