Celebrities supports Suriya after Madras High Court judge asks to initiate contempt of court

Kollywood actor Suriya had recently opened up about the death of three students and his reaction on the education. The actor spoke about the courts over the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) due to which three students died by suicide last week. In his elaborate note, Suriya called the death “painful” and said that it has “shaken his conscience.”

“With the fear of life due to corona scare, the court which dispenses justice via video-conferencing orders students to fearlessly go and take exams.” actor noted,  After the note grabbed attention, Madras High Court judge SM Subramaniam has now written to Chief Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the actor.

Celebrities  like Seenu Ramasamy, Shanthnu and CS Amudhan are among the Tamil celebs who have spoken in support of the actor. Filmmaker CS Amudhan shared a tweet and wrote, “What Suriya is doing deserves a lot of praise. He is punching up & doing that with a lot to lose. That’s the kind of courage that’s almost non-existent nowadays. May your tribe increase!”
