Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Warns of “Insurmountable Danger” If BJP Wins Third Term

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed grave concerns about the potential consequences if the BJP were to come to power for a third term. Speaking out against the BJP-ruled Centre, as well as the RSS and Sangh Parivar, Vijayan accused them of attempting to erode the country’s diversity and foster a nation based on religious lines.

Vijayan highlighted the alarming trend of communal clashes in the country, often triggered by issues related to cows, dietary choices, and the portrayal of specific groups as enemies of the nation. He emphasized that every citizen, regardless of their religion, caste, or creed, deserves equal protection under the law, a principle he claimed is under threat in the current political climate.

Addressing a gathering in a north Kerala district, Vijayan asserted that the nation is in peril if the BJP secures a third term in power. He emphasized that public sentiment resonates with this concern, leading to the formation of a unified front comprising secular-minded groups and individuals dedicated to preventing the BJP’s return to power for a third consecutive term.

Vijayan pointed out that the BJP itself is aware of the challenges it faces regarding a potential third term. He noted recent incidents, such as raids conducted by central agencies in opposition-ruled states, as signs of the BJP’s response to the changing political landscape. Despite these actions, Vijayan remained confident in the strength of the unified front and emphasized the need to further fortify this alliance against the BJP’s efforts.
