Sabarimala temple reopens today ; Know darshan timings and other details

Sabarimala temple in Kerala, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, which remained closed since March 24 because of coronavirus induced pandemic, will be reopening today. So devotees will be allowed to visit the shrine from Saturday. Know the darshan timings and other important details.

As per Travancore Devaswom Board, which runs the shrine, the temple shall reopen on Friday at 5 PM. However, entry for devotees will start on the next morning at 5 AM. All arrangements for smooth darshan have been put in place by the related authorities.

Devotees must get their darshan time and date bookings registered via the virtual queue system, online. Those who have their registration for darshan done will be permitted to visit the shrine. The bookings will be made on ‘first come, first serve’ basis.

More than 250 devotees will not be allowed to visit the temple per day.

It will be important for devotees to produce their Covid-19 negative certificates  upon their arrival at Pamba.

People arriving without a COVID-19 negative certificate will have to undergo a test for a fee at Nilakkal and wait for their reports. They will be permitted, only if they test negative.

Devotees between 10-60 age group will be allowed. Each of them  must wear face masks and gloves and carry a sanitiser.
