Explore India from South to North: IRCTC Announces Affordable Pan-India Package

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has unveiled an enticing new travel package, offering a 13-day pan-India journey from Thiruvananthapuram in the south to Jammu and Kashmir in the north. This package, titled ‘North Western Delight with Vaishnodevi,’ is set to commence on November 19 and conclude on December 1, providing travelers with an extensive exploration of India’s major tourist destinations.

The journey will be aboard the Bharat Gaurav train, renowned for its budget-friendly trips. The train offers two classes of travel: standard class, including sleeper-class accommodations and non-AC vehicles for local commuting, with overnight stays in AC rooms on a triple-sharing basis, all priced at Rs 26,310; and comfort class, which provides travel in AC 3-tier coaches, non-AC vehicles for transfers, and accommodations in budget hotels with AC rooms on a triple-sharing basis, costing Rs 39,240 for adults and Rs 37,530 for children aged between 5 and 11.

The package encompasses visits to several key destinations, including Ahmedabad, the Statue of Unity, Jaipur, Vaishnodevi temple, and Amritsar. In Ahmedabad, travelers will explore iconic sites such as the Sabarmati Ashram, Akshardham Temple, Motera sun temple, and the Adalaj step-well. Jaipur’s attractions, such as the Jaipur City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Amer Fort, are also part of the itinerary. At Amritsar, brief visits to the Golden Temple, Jallianwalla Bagh, and the Wagah-Attari Border are planned.

The package covers essential amenities, including morning tea, vegetarian breakfast, noon meals, and supper. On-board IRCTC tour managers will provide assistance to guests. Notably, the package does not include visitor fees at various locations or services of tour guides. The Bharat Gaurav train will stop at multiple boarding and de-boarding points, including Kochuveli, Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikode, and Kannur, in addition to Mangaluru in Karnataka.
