Can sleeping too much during Covid-19 lead to death? Here’s what experts have to say about it.

With the second wave of Coronavirus, Covid cases are increasing day by day, and people are facing more of this virus’s wrath.

Do you feel like you’re sleeping too much in the midst of the stressful situation that is Covid-19? Is it capable of causing any harm? Here’s what a recent study discovered about sleeping patterns during a lockdown.

People have increased their sleeping time, and their sleeping patterns have shifted as a result of the increased work pressure. Excessive sleeping, on the other hand, can lead to a slew of health issues.

The Corona crisis has undoubtedly altered sleep patterns, but it has nothing to do with the lockdown. A sufficient amount of sleep is essential, but how much sleep is beneficial to health and whether or not people are aware of this is debatable.

According to sources, the AIIMS Department of Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine, in collaboration with the government, conducted a survey on social media. After tallying the reports they saw, they discovered that previously 47.4 percent of people fell asleep after 11 p.m., but now it is 85.2 percent. After the lockdown and Covid situation, however, 51.8 percent of people used to sleep before 11 p.m.; that number dropped to 34.6 percent.

People are not sleeping well at night, and they are falling asleep quickly during the day while working. This lack of sleep, combined with the high level of work pressure, may result in a heart attack.
