Police and the MVD tighten the noose around ‘E Bull Jet’ vloggers; a court grants bail

Kannur: After arresting ‘E Bull Jet’ vloggers Ebin and Libin and seizing their controversial vehicle ‘Napoleon,’ the Kerala Police and the Motor Vehicle Department are preparing to tighten the noose around the brothers.

The MVD began proceedings to cancel the vehicle’s registration on Tuesday, citing a violation of the rules. The Transport Commissioner has directed that a notice be served on the holder of the Registration Certificate (RC) in this regard.

Meanwhile, the state police are considering reporting the vloggers’ YouTube channel.

Kannur City Police Commissioner R Ilango told reporters that a freeze request had been sent to YouTube to prevent the vloggers’ videos from being deleted.
Ilango stated that the police will investigate all content on their channel and take appropriate action. The police are on the lookout for videos that violate IT policies.

“A preliminary inquiry has been ordered on the contents they posted on YouTube, in which they impersonated their vehicle as an ambulance and as of press,” Ilango said at a press conference in Kannur. “We will have to check if they are regular rule-breakers.”

According to the police commissioner, Ebin and Libin have been charged under Section 353 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with assault on public servants in order to deter them from performing their duties. The two are also accused of inciting violence and destroying public property with the help of their fanbase.

Ilango stated that the police are monitoring the social media comments made by E Bull Jet fans. He stated that they discovered comments calling for an attack on police stations, as well as a cyber attack.

Cases have been filed in their behalf in Kollam and Alappuzha, and more action will be taken if violations are discovered, according to Ilango.

Meanwhile, he stated that fans have the right to voice their concerns without violating any rules. “Even minors have been found to have broken rules, and action will be taken against them in accordance with juvenile justice rules.” Bail granted Meanwhile, the brothers were granted bail on Tuesday by a judicial first-class magistrate court on a bond of Rs 25,000 in addition to a fine of Rs 3,500 each for damaging public property at the Regional Transport Office in Kannur.
