Supplyco Price Hike Postponed Until After Nava Kerala Sadas

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala made a collective decision to increase the prices of essential commodities distributed through Supplyco. However, a consensus was reached to defer the implementation of this price hike until after the conclusion of the Nava Kerala Sadas scheduled at the end of the year. The Nava Kerala Sadas is a comprehensive tour of all assembly constituencies as part of the larger Nava Kerala program initiated by the LDF.

While the necessity of a price hike was acknowledged, the LDF leaders emphasized the importance of choosing an appropriate time to implement it. Considering the ongoing mass contact program, Nava Kerala Sadas, involving the Chief Minister and other leaders across various constituencies, the decision was made to delay the price increase. The Civil Supplies Minister has been tasked with working out the details for the eventual implementation of this decision.

Minister G.R Anil clarified that the postponement was in response to a request from Supplyco, and further details on the execution of the price hike would be worked out in due course.
