Kerala Shifts KEAM Exams to Online Format for Efficiency

The Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) examinations will transition to a Computer Based Test (CBT) starting from the current academic year, as announced by the Minister for Higher Education & Social Justice, R. Bindu. The decision aims to enhance the efficiency and timely administration of the exams.

The Kerala cabinet has approved the order issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, endorsing a series of changes for conducting KEAM exams. Previously proposed measures included the shift to online tests to streamline the process, reduce time constraints, and introduce a single-question paper covering both common engineering topics and evaluating students’ subject-centric qualities.

This move aligns with broader trends in education technology adoption and is expected to bring benefits such as improved administrative processes and a more standardized examination experience for students.
