If you’re a fan of snacking but want to opt for healthier alternatives, consider making your own banana chips at home using an air fryer. This recipe, shared by nutritionist Arjita Singh, offers a guilt-free and delicious option for satisfying your crunch cravings. Here’s how to make these fiber-rich and nutritious snacks:

Health Benefits of Green Bananas: Green bananas are packed with resistant starch, which promotes feelings of satiety and fullness, helping to reduce hunger pangs and support natural weight loss. Additionally, they are high in fiber and rich in essential vitamins and minerals, making them a great choice for overall health and well-being, especially for diabetics.

How to Make Green Banana Chips in an Air Fryer

Start by washing 5 raw green bananas and peeling them. Remove only the green part of the peel; there’s no need to cut thick peels.

Cut the bananas into thick cubes.

Air fry the banana cubes for 10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

After the initial air frying, flatten the banana cubes using a bowl with a flat base, ensuring they are as thin as possible.

Air fry the flattened banana slices again at 180 degrees Celsius for 8-10 minutes, checking and tossing them in between.

Once done, switch off the air fryer and let the chips sit inside for an additional 5 minutes to achieve extra crunchiness.

Drizzle a little oil over the chips and sprinkle a spice mix consisting of salt, Kashmiri red chili powder, chaat masala, a pinch of turmeric, and black pepper. The oil will help the spices adhere to the chips.

Serve the banana chips as a healthy snack option or enjoy them with dal chawal for a satisfying meal.
