The Indian Railways has exciting news for travelers and pilgrims: a new Vande Bharat train connecting the bustling city of Tatanagar in Jamshedpur to the spiritual destination of Varanasi will soon be inaugurated. While the exact inauguration date remains undisclosed, sources suggest that the launch is likely to coincide with the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja.

This new Vande Bharat train, comprising eight coaches, will operate six days a week, departing from Tatanagar at 6 am and arriving in Varanasi by 1.50 pm. On its return journey, the train will leave Varanasi at 2.35 pm and reach Jameshdpur at 10 pm. Covering a distance of 574 km, the journey is estimated to take approximately 8 hours. Along the way, the train will make stops at Purulia station, Bokaro Steel City station, Gaya junction, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya station.

Additionally, the Railways has also announced the launch of another Vande Bharat Express (VBE) between Lucknow and Dehradun. This train will depart from Lucknow Junction Railway Station in the morning, heading to Dehradun, and will return at night, catering to the travel needs of passengers between the two cities.

While specific details, including the schedule and fare of the new Varanasi-bound Vande Bharat train, are expected to be released during Navaratri, preliminary estimates suggest ticket prices ranging between Rs 1200 and Rs 1800. The Railways has been responsive to public demand, recently extending the route of the Indore-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express, further enhancing travel options for the public.
