Twenty-four patients died at a hospital in Karnataka due to a lack of oxygen. The incident took place at Chamarajanagar District Hospital.

Those who were being treated died. Non-Covid victims are among the dead. Oxygen was depleted between midnight and 2 in the morning. District Magistrate Suresh Kumar said a report on the incident was awaited.

Chief Minister Yeddyurappa spoke to the magistrate. The Chief Minister called an emergency meeting tomorrow. This is the second incident in 24 hours. A similar incident took place on Saturday in Kalaburgi. Four Kovid patients died at KBN Hospital due to lack of oxygen. On Sunday, Covid confirmed 37,733 people in the state. 217 people died. But the death toll is reported to be much higher.
