Covid, test positivity rate rises to 26.08, death toll rises to 37,190

Thiruvananthapuram: Covid-19 has been confirmed for 37,190 people in Kerala today. Outbreaks were reported in Ernakulam 5030, Kozhikode 4788, Malappuram 4323, Thrissur 3567, Thiruvananthapuram 3388, Palakkad 3111, Alappuzha 2719, Kollam 2429, Kottayam 2170, Kannur 1985, Pathanamthitta 1093, Wayanad 959, Idukki 955 and Kasaragod 673.

During the last 24 hours, 1,42,588 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 26.08. Routine Sample, Sentinel Sample, CB Nat, Trunat, POCT. PCR, RT A total of 1,62,97,517 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.

Covid-19 was confirmed in the last 24 hours by 6 people from the UK. Covid 19 has so far been confirmed by 123 people from the UK (114), South Africa and Brazil (1). Of these, 114 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus. Covid-19 has been confirmed as the cause of 57 deaths in the last few days. This brings the total death toll to 5507

Today, 201 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 34,143 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 2728 is not clear. Ernakulam 4988, Kozhikode 4644, Malappuram 4161, Thrissur 3522, Thiruvananthapuram 2956, Palakkad 1334, Alappuzha 2712, Kollam 2415, Kottayam 2036, Kannur 1808, Pathanamthitta 1040, Wayanad 937, Idukki 941 and Kasaragod 649 were affected by the disease. 118 health workers were affected by the disease. Kannur 32, Thrissur 17, Thiruvananthapuram 13, Pathanamthitta 11, Kollam, Wayanad 9 each, Kasaragod 8, Palakkad 6, Ernakulam 4, Malappuram 3, Kottayam, Idukki and Kozhikode 2 each were affected.

 

The test results of 26,148 people who were diagnosed with the disease were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 1989, Kollam 1557, Pathanamthitta 751, Alappuzha 2261, Kottayam 3890, Idukki 913, Ernakulam 4235, Thrissur 1686, Palakkad 951, Malappuram 2125, Kozhikode 3934, Wayanad 250, Kannur 1490 and Kasaragod 116 were found to be negative today. With this, 3,56,872 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 13,39,257 people have so far been freed from Covid.

There are currently 7,59,744 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 7,31,629 are under home / institutional quarantine and 28,115 in hospitals. A total of 3253 people were admitted to the hospital today. Today there are 15 new hotspots. No area is excluded from the hotspot. There are currently a total of 699 hotspots.
