You can bury your head in the sand like an ostrich, we will not: Delhi High Court

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday slammed the Central Government for failing to implement an order requiring an immediate supply of oxygen to all parts of the state. The court directed that the full quota of oxygen should be paid to Delhi anyway.
You can bury your head in the sand like an ostrich. We will not. Are you in the ivory tower? The apex court has directed the Central Government to supply 700 metric tonnes of oxygen, not 490 metric tonnes, to Delhi.
On April 30, the apex court had directed that the shortage of oxygen supply to Delhi should be rectified by midnight on or before May 3. The High Court had convinced the Center of the need to take immediate action given the increasing number of deaths in the national capital due to oxygen shortage.

‘You have to adjust everything now. You have contributed. You have to fulfil it. Eight lives were lost. We cannot turn a blind eye, ”said a bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli.
