Restaurants and food stalls will be open from 6 to 10 p.m.e Covid negative certificate are mandatory for the passengers at the Bangalore airport. Applicants from Kerala, Maharashtra and Punjab are required to obtain an RTPCR Negative Certificate.

Chief Minister BS Naidu said the situation in the state was critical.

Yeddyurappa clarified. In the last 24 hours alone, 592 people have died of Covid in Karnataka.

One week after the implementation of the Covid curfew in the state, the government has decided to impose a complete lockdown for two weeks.

Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has said that he is waiting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s suggestion on whether to implement a complete lockdown in the state to control the spread of Covid. Yeddyurappa had said on Wednesday.

Until now, restrictions have been in place to allow construction and factory operations. The shops selling essentials are only open till noon.

A week after the curfew, experts say cases have been declining and there have been partial repercussions. Garment factories and construction activities are allowed with 50 per cent employees.

Although the journey was allowed only for essentials, the traffic on the road was not reduced as there was no significant inspection. It is speculated that the spread of the disease may have been due to the influx of people from Bangalore to other districts following the imposition of curfew.

In this situation, experts had informed the Chief Minister that if a complete lockdown is imposed for at least two weeks, the spread will start to decrease by mid-June.
