Chinese rocket crashes to the ground; Presumably in the Indian Ocean

BEIJING: A Chinese rocket that shook the world has reportedly crashed to the ground. Chinese long-range rocket ‘Long March 5B’ is believed to have crashed into the Indian Ocean near the Maldives. Official confirmation is expected soon.

Earlier, China had said that the wreckage of the rocket would fall into the Mediterranean Sea. At the same time received footage of the rocket passing. Images were obtained from Oman, Israel and other countries.

The main body of the Long March space rocket itself weighs 18 tons. Half of it will burn up in the atmosphere, but the rest will fall to the ground.

The Pentagon in the United States had previously predicted that it would hit Earth around 11.30pm on Saturday. But it took more than 10 hours for the rocket to hit the ground.

The rocket weighed 21 tons to deliver the first modular of China’s new space station.
