Cannabis case accused’s iftar party at police station during lockdown

Thiruvananthapuram: An Iftar party was held at the police station under the leadership of officers and criminals despite the lockdown instructions. The incident took place at Pothencode police station. It has been alleged that the Iftar party was held on Sunday afternoon. Following the incident, top officials have asked the SI for an explanation. It is alleged that the accused in the recent cannabis and counterfeit note cases took the initiative to hold the party. It is alleged that the Iftar party was hosted by a man known as a middleman for several policemen at the station.
