Guinea’s gold mine landslide accident

Guinea: A landslide at a gold mine in the West African country of Guinea. At least 15 people were killed in the crash, government sources said. The accident happened on Saturday, Reuters news agency reported, citing sources.

The landslide occurred at a mine in Siliguri province, about 800 kilometers from the Guinean capital. It is home to the largest gold reserves in the country. The government said it had launched an investigation into the accident.

Bodies have been found at the scene. Locals said two people, including two women, were killed. Meanwhile, the international media Al Jazeera reports that the search for those trapped in the accident is progressing.
