Ayurvedic practices to fight cold and flu

Ayurveda is a blessing. There are also many Ayurvedic practices that can help you stay healthy this monsoon  season. Plus, they are so easy to follow also.

Ayurvedic self-massage

The ayurvedic system is built on the belief that our skin is host to a number of sensory neurons which hold the power to detox you naturally. Using certain oils to give yourself a massage can calm down the nervous system, strengthen immunity and also deal with other chronic infections.

Oiling your ear

Make oiling your ear a part of your self-care routine. Putting some drops of traditional oils like mustard oil, sesame oil-the ones you can easily find in your home can work better your cold by lubricating your lymph nodes and even massage the immune system, making it function better. It prevents cavities and passageways from drying, which can be an easy place for bacteria and viruses to rest. To start with, you can do this twice daily.

Turmeric

This  traditional spice is a go-to remedy to fight any infection! Our elders have been doing this for ages and recommending us to follow the same too. Consuming a simple turmeric paste made out of turmeric powder and raw organic honey can fill you up with antioxidants and vitamins, which fight bad viral strain.
