11 Covid patient die in Andhra Pradesh Due to Lag in Oxygen Supply

Tirupati: Eleven covid patients have died in the ICU of a government hospital in Andhra Pradesh after oxygen supply was cut off. A heartbreaking video has been released from SVR Rua Hospital in Tirupati. It is also clear from the video that health workers are working hard to save people’s lives.

The family members of the deceased said that the oxygen supply was interrupted for 25-45 minutes but the Chittoor District Collector denied it. Collector Hari Narayanan informed the supply was interrupted for only 5 minutes to reload the oxygen cylinders.

Oxygen supply was resumed within five minutes. It’s all the same now. No need to worry anymore. Due to the proper action of the health workers, a major tragedy was averted. The crisis was caused by the delay in the arrival of the oxygen tanker from Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, ”he added.

The hospital has more than 1100 beds. About 150 patients in the ICU. More than 400 beds with oxygen facilities. As many as 30 doctors were rushed to the ICU to check on patients.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajapaksa has expressed condolences over the incident. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced an inquiry.

At least three patients were reported dead at a government hospital in Hyderabad after a two-hour oxygen supply disruption in Telangana on Sunday. But officials have denied this.
