Those who continue the fearless war against Covid; A Day for health workers helping us in Covid

Kozhikode: Nurses’ Day is once again in the midst of efforts to fight the corona virus that has shaken the world. Even today, the nursing community is busy caring for covid patients who have forgotten about their own health. Beyond the usual adjectives of angels, nurses are now warriors in the field of health.

Those who remain steadfast as the war against covid continues unabated for days and months. Those who are left alone in the covid bed with no complaints, those who can lift themselves sick in the event of self-inflicted illness, those who have transplanted their lives from loved ones to isolation wards and intensive care units, no matter how many adjectives are given, will not suffice.

Let us add to them with heartfelt greetings when a Nurses Day approaches during the plague. This Nurses’ Day is a testament to the fact that nurses, who are the backbone of the health sector in any epidemic, are also given due consideration in this area.

May 12 is celebrated as Nurses’ Day because it is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The goal is to remind nurses of the valuable services they provide to the community. Due to the lockdown in the state, the decision has been taken to observe the Pledge Day against the covid epidemic in various government hospitals.
