Vodafone Idea has succeeded in gaining new subscribers

But according to a February report by TRAI, jio has made a big comeback in acquiring new subscribers. At the same time, after 15 years, Vodafone Idea has succeeded in gaining new subscribers.

In February, Reliance Jio added more mobile phone users than Bharti Airtel. Geo has been lagging behind the Sunil Mittal-led telecom company in gaining new subscribers for six consecutive months. According to the latest subscriber data compiled by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Mukesh Ambani-led jio has gained 42.6 lakh new wireless subscribers. But Airtel also had 37.3 lakh subscribers.

Jio’s 4G feature phone, which is a leader in the telecom market, is believed to have helped Geo gain new subscribers in February. Vodafone Idea acquired 6.25 lakh, new mobile users, in February, according to TRAI.

The Visitor Location Register (VLR), which reflects the number of active subscribers on a mobile network, shows that 97.47 percent of Airtel users use the SIM. Only 90.61 percent of Vodafone Idea users and 78.16 percent of Jio users are active users of the service.

Airtel and Vodafone Idea had 30.8 lakh and 26.98 lakh subscribers at the end of December, respectively. Both companies have not yet released figures for the end of March. Axis Capital expects Airtel to add more than 1.4 crore users in the January-March quarter. But Vodafone Idea lost 1.8 million subscribers this quarter.

According to TriData, jio and Airtel have a market share of 35.54 percent and 29.83 percent, respectively. The number of mobile users in India rose by 82.9 lakh to 116.7 crores in February. The number of broadband users increased from 757.61 million to 765.09 million.

As of the end of February, five service providers had a market share of 98.83 percent of broadband subscribers. Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (41.74 crore, or 54.56%), Bharti Airtel (18.82 crore, or 24.60%), Vodafone Idea (12.32 crore, or 16.11%), BSNL (2.54 crore, or 3.32%), Atria Convergence (18.2 lakh). , Or 0.24%).
