Oxygen is not enough; Kerala urgently needs 300 tonnes

Kerala demands 300 tonnes of oxygen urgently Kerala’s demand comes in the wake of weather warnings that a cyclone could create a crisis. The Chief Minister has written to the Prime Minister in this regard. The Chief Minister said that the daily oxygen supply should be increased to 450 tonnes. Kerala has the capacity to produce 212.34 tonnes of oxygen per day. It is estimated that the daily demand will increase to 423 tons in the next three days as the number of covid patients in need of oxygen rises significantly.

Central directive to supply 358 MT of oxygen to Kerala. It currently receives 223 metric tons of oxygen per day. The Chief Minister had written to the Prime Minister to increase the oxygen quota
