Kerala Government’s Luxury Bus from ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ Transformed for KSRTC Tourism

The opulent bus that once served as the official transport for Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and cabinet ministers during the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ will undergo modifications for repurposing in Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC)’s tourism ventures. The modifications will include the removal of features like automated reclining seats, the special lift, and glass windows.

However, reports suggest that the bus will retain its onboard toilet. Following the Sadas event, the bus was handed over to its manufacturers, ‘Prakash Coach Builders,’ in Bengaluru. The decision to repurpose the bus for KSRTC’s tourism aims to maximize its utilization beyond political events, incorporating amenities like rooftop air conditioning, additional luggage storage, and larger windows for an improved viewing experience.
