New Delhi: An HDFC job circular stating that ‘2021 passed out candidates are not eligible’ went viral on social media, prompting India’s largest private sector bank to issue a clarification.

“This is a typo, and we regret the error,” an HDFC spokesperson said on Tuesday in response to a Twitter user (August 3, 2021).

The spokesperson went on to say that graduates can apply regardless of their graduation year as long as they meet the age requirements.

The newspaper ad had invited graduates under the age of 28 to a walk-in interview in Madurai.

“We have already issued the correct advertisement, which has been shared here,” HDFC stated after the vacancy circular became a topic of discussion on social media.
While some users thought the older advertisement was ‘absurd,’ others mocked the ‘Corona batch.’
