Couple who tied knot at COVID ward weds again as per rituals in Alappuzha

Do you remember the couple who entered wedlock at a COVID ward at Alappuzha Govt Medical College? Clad in PPE kit, bride Abhirami had reached the COVID ward to tie the knot with groom Sarath Mon who tested COVID positive in April. Now, the couple had a retake for their wedding in the presence of their families.

As Sarath recovered from COVID, both families decided to conduct the wedding as per the tradition. Though the duo entered wedlock on April 25, they had to live separately. After 22 days, the couple has completed the wedding rituals together and started a new life.

The COVID ward turned the venue for the wedding, as Sarath and his mother tested COVID positive a few days before the wedding date. After the wedding at the COVID ward, Abhirami went to her aunt’s house.  Sarath returned to his home after recovering from the disease.

Finally, the duo had a wedding ceremony which they dreamt of. Wearing the wedding costumes and receiving blessings from all, Sarath and Abhirami tied the knot on Monday at the residence of Abhirami.
