1000 crore defamation case against Baba Ramdev
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev gets a defamation notice worth Rs 1,000 crore in his remarks against modern medicine. The IMA’s Uttarakhand unit was prepared to take legal action demanding a written apology within 15 days and the video being posted correcting the remark.
According to Ramdev, millions of people have died due to allopathic drugs, far more than those who died without treatment or oxygen. Ramdev also said that allopathy is an irrational treatment. This is controversial. Ramdev had withdrawn the reference after Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan took a strong stand.
